Ours has a 1" Hotchkis all away around with lt and no emissions as well. You are right though. Most of the scraping is on the front air dam not the exhaust. I have true duals and no cats and dont really have much problem.

drove my car for the first time since lowering it. No issues at all. My tunnel mount torque arm mount and the front air dam seem to be the only things close to scraping. That and jacking it up seems to be a challenge.... had to pick the car up off the jack after lowering it down. time for a decent low approach jack.

What springs did you go with?

I'm not sure how the fitment is on LT1s, but I have ARH LTs w/ catted Y on my 99 and I actually gained ground clearance over stock. I'm currently on stock shocks/springs, but I have Strano springs in the garage that have been sitting there for almost 2 years waiting until I can afford and find the time to install Koni shocks. I don't anticipate any problems as far as exhaust clearance is concerned.

The ground clearance may be ok on the pacesetters, but installing them is a PITA. NEVER AGAIN will I let myself get into that situation. My ARHs went on in 3.5hrs by myself (including removing stock manifolds, y pipe). It took me 6hrs or so to do Pacesetters on a friend's car with 2 people helping.

very true on the install time. It took me about 10-11 hours or so by myself to install my pacesetters. took my time but still, I couldn't really rush through the job. They fit nice and tight underneath. the Y pipe actually hangs a bit lower cause the installer () has it crooked.
