Lowering with long tubes????

I have a 95 z28 and wanted to lower it around 1" but i am concerned that later this summer when i add long tube headers that there will be a clearance issue. If anyone has any input or experience let me know. Thanks

I don't know how much the Eibach sportlines lower a Camaro, but I have those and Jet-Hot LT's on my car and it's low. Go into the exhaust section and search for threads I've started. I posted some pictures in there.

really dont recommend eibachs they are real low and stiff. im also going by where i live which is NY our roads are horribe. look into the stranos there about $300 and everyone loves them lowers the car about 1 1/4 i think and the long tubes all depends on where you live if you have big speed bumps or steep driveways where i am i take everything on angles so i dont scrape them

First, what kind of headers are you installing? Forget lowering your car if you are going to install SLP headers. They hang way too low. I have Pacesetter LT's and have Eibach pro springs installed (1.25" lower) and have no problems with clearance. The headers hug the under body really well. The only time I have issues is when going over some of the bigger speed bumps but I avoid them as much as I can.

That's good to know, as I'll have the same setup.

Around 2". https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=518164

I've got Pacesetter LT's going on my car next weekend. I'll get pics when it's done. Here's the way my car sits currently. I've got Edelbrock Shortys and a stock y-pipe, and I've hit on the I-pipe once or twice on a speed bump with 300-500lbs in passenger weight (me plus 1-2 people) My suspension mods can be found in my FQuick link in my sig.

Pacesetters seem to tuck up the best, that's why I went with them. My car is too low to consider anything else. I'm trying to save my money in case I need to lift it back up to a more stock stance after I get them in.

I have Pacesetter LT's and 1" Hotchkis springs. I have never bottomed out on the LT's. Now the true dual bullits i have bottomed out every now and again. You just have to watch driving in any lowered car. The Pacesetters w/lowering will be fine.

Just just installed pacesetter lts and y pipe with cats i scraped just coming out of the shop its a little bit of an incline. Tried to to tuck it up as best we could without getting to close to the fuel lines and the one cat. Guess ill just have to be cautious at all times going over bumps. My guess unless you dont have cats you'll be hitting it alot.

It is best to cross speed bumps and driveway inclines at a angle. It will not scrape as much.

+2 at taking things at an angle.

How much is your car lowered?

BTW, mine are non-emission headers with no cats. I wonder if that makes any difference. My exhaust never hits, it’s usually something else on the car that scrapes like the front fascia.

Also, before I attached the y-pipe I dented in the little cross member piece so that the y pipe would tuck in as close to the body as possible. Maybe that's why mine look more tucked in then most. I can take a pic when I get home to show you what I mean.
