a 3" drop will have you touching the bumpstops (those will compress another inch or so).

I have a 2" drop, and I don't scrape on speedbumps, if taken very slowly, and the car doesn't bottom out harshly at speed. The 18" Z06 wheels fit perfect and the tires don't scrape anywhere.

My 2 cents. I had Intrax 2" lowering springs. The car looked and handled great. I didn't have problems over speed bumps if I took them slow. My problem was with the bumpstops. The axle was maybe a 1/4" below the stop and every little bump in the road felt like I was getting rear ended by a truck. I have KYB adjustable shocks and tried every adjustment but that didn't help, so I had to put the stock springs back on.

Install a $60 pair of Airlift bags in the rear coils; 8 psi would raise the rear slightly, giving you just enough wheel travel and spring rate to solve your problem.

Acarnut What kind of springs do you have on your car to get a two inch drop. I think your car looks awesome!

That's there I started; the drop is easy, it's doing while still improving the ride and handling that's tricky. That's why there's the link to my home page where I list all the details.

my car has sportlines. and its lowered just over 2". I have 17x9.5" wheels and i have jethot longtubes and a 4" y-pipe

speed bumps
Looks

ive scraped the sh*t outa it many of times. wheels have never hit fenders. i think the performance for them is great. i fly around on and off ramps without slidin out of my chair. car really hugs the ground

Yeah the ground effects look awesome on it. I would put ground effects on mine but have yet to see ls1 ground effects that i really like. The front ground effect anyway.

I've seen a few LS1 ground effects that i like. I could send you some pics of some of the ones that i've seen that look sweet. But i agree that the front ground effect is the most important. I got my ground effects really cheap. I paid for the front one (rksport ca-100) used but looked brand new, i dont know if it was ever used . i paid $165 shipped for it. and i got the sides for free along with the rear. those were also rksport ca-100's. i was greatful for getting them so cheap so i decided to help the person out with their t-top conversion and i supplied some parts for him. I might change my rear ground effect, it doesnt look right without tail pipes.

what color is your car? and ur going with 18" Z06's. I've seen a tight *** black LS1 with Z06's and ground effects.

I need to sell my wheels, i want to buy a set of chrome Z06's in a 18" front and a 20" rear.
