They are VERY rare, and believe me, if I could have ordered a new one, it would have been MMM.

I'm not sure if mine it's Monterey Maroon or not, but it IS maroon.........

Maroon ones aren't rare around here....5 people in my town have them, at least. As for colors, all I have is a white lettering kit on the back, and blue underbodies. Not much else will look good on maroon, as you said.

Nice lookin car 98 Z28 A4 LS1, I like the trim you used, but your car is a lot more red than mine so you can get away with using red trim and things like that. Im mostly hoping I can find out if my car would look stupid with maroon trim, Im expecting something like that in a luxury car not a sports car, thus, my problem in deciding a trim color. Thanks

Try a darker color of red. Can't really tell you what to do, its your car and do what makes you happy. That always works for me. Carbon Fiber always looks good. I just try to be different. I spend my time driving in the interior, so I make it the way I like it. Hope the pics gave you some ideas though. I show my car for people to say, I will not do that to my car....or I want to do that to my car. Gives them a pic to make a decision on though. Either way, I am never hurt. It makes me happy. That is all that matters.

I see plenty of v6's around here in MMM. I have a 01 MMM Z28. My car has silver stripes that the original owner put on there. I finished up with silver Camaro inserts both front and back. Everyone around loves that set up. However, I'm beginning to not like it. I also have a hardtop and it is black. I'm thinking of touching up with black. Dgmotorsports front grill black, rksports carbon fiber mirror covers, and carbon fiber Camaro inserts. Good luck in your decision.

I own a 2001 V6 Camaro with a 5-speed, Y87, and factory chome wheels in Monterey Maroon Metallic. I looked high and low for one but finally broke down and ordered it from the factory so I could get this paint color and the specific options I wanted. It was hell waiting for two months untill it arrived at Bill Kay Chevrolet.

I do think it is an awesome color. You just don't look at it like a regular color, you look INTO it. It seems to have depth.

One of the reasons I wanted this paint is because of the color of the top bar. The Z28s all have the black bar between the T-tops and the rear hatch glass. The v6 cars have the bar the same color as the body. The only way to get this bar in black is if you order the car in black. If you ordered the car in white, or any other color, this bar would kinda stand out in my opinion. With the Monterey Maroon Metallic, it complements the black T-tops and the hatchback glass.

I have yet to ever buy Zaino to wax the car with, but I will next spring. Zaino is supposed to make Metallic paint more vibrant than the regular wax you egt at the store. Untill then, I have a bottle of Miguires (sp?) to use.

I think the Maroon Metallic is the rarest color for these cars. I alwasy see them in Red, Black, Silver, and navy Blue once in a while. I think the chrome rims makes the color even better!

The only colors I can think of that would go with the car is Black or Silver. I thought about doing silver or black stripes. on mine, but decided aganst it. I did have a set of the GTS headlight blackouts on it and it looked very cool (untill they were stolen)

Where in Chicago are you located? I'm in Glen Ellyn (western burbs)
