the only part i can think of that might need to be fixed externally is the top of the fender. it looks like half of a tube and goes into the back of the mirrors. i think that will have to be cut back some to the mirror will go up smoothly with the car. besides that just a little interior stuff and its done.

i don't have the kit or have i ever seen it put on it person so i really don't know, and i'm no body man. but i don't see to much getting in the way now. guess time will tell

Good luck with that White Z 4 Show. I think it will look incredible. I'm glad someone has actually taken steps to do this since it's been talked about for so long.

i think those doors would look bad azz but to take it one step further you should think aout shavin the door handles too that would make the mod look sick.....

I wish you luck with it, but man make sure you spend the money to have it done right, or you will have a shoddy mess on your hands. I would really like to see if it is possible. Good luck!

dude, i have been thinking of this for a long time, i could never find anyone that could do it. to find out that there is a kit specially for the camaro well thank you. i would seriously love to do this, basically it was the first time my girlfriend rode in my car, she opened the door and nailed the car next to us. then she did it again on the second and third time, thats when i said lambo doors would not only look awsome, but would save my door, and other cars as well. where is this company located, and how hard would it be to install the kit.

I am taking every "extra" step i can because this will be the most expensive modifcation on my car so far and its all custom.

Thanks....just keep wishing me luck!!!

I only have so much $$$ hahaha I'm putting some type of racing seats in when I do it, the enkei stripes down the side of the car, flamethrower exhaust, and getting the lambo doors done. I know "while they r working on the car, get it done to" but the best kit i can find for shaved door handles with poppers is like $300 or so. making it over my price range to stay in. but it will get done man, just not this go around.

if my "g/f" or whatever you wanna call her hits this door on anything, i'm finding a new one. but i hope this works out just fine, i have had good times with the car since i owned it so i'm hoping this goes as smooth as well. i guess its just how i take care of my baby, she treats me the same

Where can you get the shaved door handle kit for $300? If I can't afford the lambo doors, I at least want to do that. I heard it is kinda hard on these doors though, since you can't just weld a plate over the hole and sand it down or whatever.

Lambo doors would rock. I dont think that $2k is that unreasonable for them either. That would be a sick mod to do.

DAMNIT! I have been wanting to do this for the past 2 years. As long as none of you live in Phoenix, im cool. If and when this gets done, please post pics. I am dying to see what it looks like when finished. BTW, the prices you posted earlier, is that the prices you are paying for parts and labor, or is it just for the kit?

Z-scrilla.....the prices are only for parts....i've got a few people who i'm trying to talk into doing it but none have given me a price on labor yet.

notstock4long....i sell these kits for $300 or so. the kits are universal but come with door poppers, you can get them w/ or w/o a keypad (like an alarm style keypad) where you can pop passenger or driver side doors, etc. PM me if interested.

also where have you heard you can't just shave the doors and all that? it looks like all you do is get rid of the handles and that area, put a metal plate there, bondo around it, then sand it down, bondo again, sand that down, then do your paint work. let me know, ok? i might be able to get the price down on the shaved door handle kits if I get more then 1 kit at a time. actually i guarantee I can so if you want, PM me.

I would use fiberglass if you are gonna shave the door handles
wire mesh inside of the door and fiber glass over it wet sand it smooth then paint. Seems like it would be stronger to me that way

when it comes to any type of body work, i know little to nothing. but the wire mesh was a good idea.

would making them open manually lower the price of the set up. Personally opening them wouldnt seem to bad to me, and you could maybe get some of the shocks the hood/hatch have to hold them up..
