Interior Painting Question

I've searched through the site and I'm only wondering why nobody seems to have painted the armrests and the lid to the center counsel...?

Re: Interior Painting Question

I have. The center console is a soft plastic. The weight of your elbow resting on the console will cause problems with the paint... atleast it did for me. It could've been I didn't let the paint cure fully, I let it sit for 48 hours before reinstalling it, but who knows maybe it needed more time. The most recent pics I have doesn't show it, but here's one:

Re: Interior Painting Question

What types of problems? Will it smudge or crack or...?

...And is there any way to harden the plastic before painting?

Where do you live in Sterling Heights?

I'm not too sure about hardening the plastic before painting. With mine, the two spots that my elbow rests on (one spot when I have my hand on the shifter, the other when I have my right hand on the steering wheel) have like... smudge/ugly spots.

As far as where I live 18 and Ryan.
