idea

ok i want to get the full set of backouts for my 98 z(headlight, tailight, cornerlight). but i keep on hearing that you can't see the front lights to well at night so i had an idea...would you solve this problem by installing some HID lights and then the cover over that. i think if it would work i would also look way pimp. has anybod done this what do you guys think of this idea...thanks.

Smokes do look good but I would'nt spend $400 or more for headlights just to cover them up with smokes. Look for a mod Whistler did on here to his headlights. He smoked them on the inside hisself and left holes for the lights to go threw and it looked great. If you have a 98 you can also just take the dang things off at night because its dark and you cant see the black anyways so it wont be pimpin at night, just in the day

I've got the carbon ones for the headlight, only half as dark as the smoked so so get the look but your headlights still work okay. I was lucky and got a gts pair off ebay for $35 shipped. they are like $75.00 new from rksport.

They are not easily removed, they slide in between the bumper and the rubber trim around the lights, takes about 10 min to figure out how to get them on but i definty don't to take them off and do it again.

Just drive with your high beams on. When I had the front head light covers on that's what I did. OR, you could just take them off at night, cause it will still be pretty dark w/ the hi's on.

As far as the HID light's, I agree w/ 95Zdroptop. Plus, I would think you may have to worry about alot of heat and melting or warping the lens's.
