Post How to remove Window Tint?

Well about 3 nights ago i got a ticket for blue headlights and tinted windows.. I can have them both taken away if i rip off the tint and change the bulbs.. But i love my window tint, its 15% on the sides and limo on the back.. I was wondering if i could get the tint off in one piece? I dont really have the money to get them re-tinted just to have to take it off again, right now, but if i can get it off in 1 piece, i can go get a sheet of tint and cut it to the exact size of my original tint, and this way i can go as dark as i want and when i get pulled over it wont be a big deal....
any ideas/suggestions?
thanks
jay

you might be able to pull slowly and carefully but i daubt it try pulling slowly and maybe spray adhesive remover while pulling it? but i don't think it can be done. use mineral spirits to get the sticky crap off that works really well

matters what type of tint you had. my tint was really ****ty, and it came off real easy. almost one sheet.

use a heat gun on low setting and always keep it moving, dont let the heat build up on one spot.

Well i got my tint off in 1 piece.. I just heated up the edge enough to grab a piece with my finger.. It pulled off with not to much of a struggle.. and i used nail polish remover to get off the sticky stuff.. I tried mineral spirits but it did not work very well
but now that i got it off in 1 piece, i am going to try to get a new sheet of tint and do it myself, but this time, limo all around

i wish mine would have came off that easy. i fought with it forever and all it did was come off in small pieces, just enough to **** me off.

i sold my car instead of removing the tint.

im absolutely serious. i got a warning about it one night, and instead of ripping off that beautiful tint job, i sold the car to a girl that lived about 30 miles away. i couldnt bare to ruin it

That's an easy one!! I took the limo tint off my 86 (just cause I liked em better clean). I used a single edge razor and some windex. But depending on the condition of your tint it might not come off in one piece (mine did'nt), and it takes a little time. You dont want to scratch your window (dont ask how I know LOL!!). And you got a ticket for your blue bulbs? You'd think that the cops would have better things to do than inspect your tint and BULBS!! ya know murderers, rapists, child molestors etc... they need to get their priorities straight, and stop doin the easy work (cops hate to do REAL work)
