How long a fiberglass hood should last ???

Normal metal hood are good for ever if they dont rust.

but...

What about a fiberglass hood.Im looking for a ram air one for my bird ut just wanted to know how durable they are against craking or anything else

This will probably depend on the munufacturer. I've had a VFN hood on my '77 Camaro, and my '93. The '77 hood is 15 years old, and hasn't had any issues, and the '93 hood is 8 years old and still looks like new. Both are cowl induction hoods that use the factory hinges and latches.
This is my 8 year old '93 hood.
