How do you remove the vents on a Firebird?
[edit] - if you meant dash vents, keep reading this...otherwise, ignore...
If they're the same on the pre-98s as they are on the 98+, they are a pain to figure out.
Basically, there are two little tabs on the round vent, that angle out into a groove in the dash hole. You have to reach in thru the vent with a small screwdriver and pry that tab in towards the center of the vent. As I mentioned, there are two - opposite each other, just behind the 'post' on the vent adjuster.
Took me 1/2 hour to get the first one out, but then < 5 minutes to get the next one out.
Sorry I can't be more clear - it's a lot easier to see than it is to say...
good luck!
