Housesitting and found this vette in the garage *pics*

The owner says its a 1969 vette. The interior needs to be redone but the lines of this car are amazing. All is original...as the owners father bought it off the showroom floor back in 69. She even still has the window sticker! The problem though was the car got stolen 2x now and she just got it back after having it gone 3 years!

It needs some work but I figured the fellow cz28 members may enjoy seeing this. And man, that 427 rumble is quite the sound to hear.

I just noticed they stole the rear corvette lettering! wow

cool...a little cleaning up and they could make it a nice driver and not worry about it although it has been stolen several time already.

someone probably stole the corvette lettering to put it on a honda or something

Its nice that they got it back, too bad it has been stolen twice though. I can only imagine how pristine it would look right now had it not been used and abused by vandals.

not bad... reminds me of that story a few months back of the silver (originally blue i think) 68 vette convertible that was stolen from the original owner within the first few months he owned it and he had no insurance..... it ended up going through a few "owners" and also a repaint, and was being exported when they found it it was stolen... he got it back some 37 years later...

Thats crazy.
The owner had it stolen for 3 years and some change and she was driving down the street and saw it parked at a gas station. She blocked it in, called the cops, and got it....
On a side note, I don't think that 'club' is stopping anyone.

The "club" is a joke..... The steering wheel can be removed and easily replaced.....

But it is a nice looking vette......

They have that "club" type thing that locks onto the brake. Works very well.

She mite want to think about investing into one of those. Very nice car though.

What a twist of fate. So was the person driving the car the actual thief, or just some poor fool who bought it by mistake. Instead of the "club," she should invest in some bloodthirsty watchdogs.

It reminds me of my grandparents' '64 Corvette. They sold it in about 2003 after owning it since the early '70s. Everything was original and it had only 20 or 30k miles. It was white with that color interior.
