Hood Vents, Did Search

I did a search but did not find what i was looking for.. I am looking for steps to open the camaro hood vents. I own a 97 and seen a pci of it done, but though of really doing it... I have seen vents for it sold...

Opinions, feedback of any type...

I would like to put heat extractors on my hood also. but I think you'll just have to find some kind of a vent that would look good on your hood and just hack away.

You sure? A friend of mine has these and I'm 99% sure the holes don't go through. I believe it is a piece of aluminum with round holes drilled only in/on the surface.

So no one has made the stock hood vents functional? I have not looked at taqking it out yet, but can you just unscrew something to open it up?

I know of people who have done it but they didn't purchase a kit or anything. They took out the plastic pieces and drilled the holes out using a drill press or drill. They then drilled or cut out the area behind the previous "fake" vents. I'm not aware of any problems from those who have done this.
