Ok...I understand what you are saying but my experience shows the slots giving more of a pulling effect then any kind of pushing. The air seems to slip stream right over them causing the effect. I don't think it really makes the car run cooler because I have a 160 thermostat and the fan switch mod, but in my single case it does SEEM to help the engine compartment to stay cool. I also have the rear rubber seal on the back under the hood removed and the fire/heat ugly black crap on the bottom of the hood removed too. I would say not to mod your vents if you don't want to. That's the great thing about having YOUR car, you can do to it as you please. You guys are probably right and I'm probably wrong, it happens all the time. Sorry for mentioning it....peace...

Too much of a risk for me to try it now, after reading what those other threads had in them.

I don't mess with stuff if there's a potential for it to cause cooling/overheating problems. It's not worth all that just for a little more cool air or a little less hot air.
