Hood Vents

our fake hood vents on non ss lt1 have anybody modded those yet? they come out easily, i research some mods on the web and found nothing...

It's bad enough that they're just decorative. No need to call attention to the fact that they do nothing by making them 'bling'.

i was thinking of a vent that can actually be functional. i guess it has never been done.

ventilation to the engine? my friends gta have some vents in the beginning of hood and he cut them to ventilate the engine but they do not look very good. i was thinking like a open vent with some grill or mesh..

MBA sold some inserts for early 4th gen hoods and suggested dremeling out the openings to make them true heat extractor vents. Of course MBA is now out of business, but maybe you can still contact them.

I don't think he was looking to make them functional, just to 'dress them up', which those chrome inserts, if you like them, are good for.
