Post here's a stupid idea

i was thinking about spray painting my TA's radio face with some of that niteshade blackout paint with a really lite coat because i hate the grey buttons, then doing the steering wheel buttons too, do you think this might work. i know it would be cool if it did.

What kind of paint/color is nightshade? I'm guessing you mean like painting some of your interior?

niteshade is that tint in a can, it would turn everthing to black but you hopefully would still see the white letters and it would still allow them to illumiate. I just hate the grey buttons.

yeah i thought about getting a camaro unit and ac + headlight ***** but then the lights won't match, that's not even really the thing, it's spending the money and then if the stuff will install right and if the wiring is the same. I think if i spray it on really lightly i won't have a problem with the buttons sticking.

that white lettering is a special tape or paint, if you paint over them, you won't be able to see the light shinning through, I personaly think you'll mess it up. I've tryed painting the buttoms on the streeing wheel because th paint wore away, and the new paint just didn't work the same, this was on my dads riveria's buttoms, pretty much the same thing

Buy spray paint desined to paint "vinyl". This type of paint goes on thin, covers great and drys fast and is very very flexable. I actually painted my HVAC ***** on by camaro metallic silver over 5 years ago and the paint hasnt chipped yet.

Spray paint for vinyl is sold @ autozone or pepboys under a few different brands. It comes in a dozen different colors.

I really don't know how the paint will work, but I would be interested in finding out since I hate the gray buttons too.
