HELP WITH TIRE SIZE
I WILL BE PURCHASING SOME 19X9" BINNO 930 WHEELS FOR MY 93 CAMARO AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF SOME 245/35ZR/19 TIRES WOULD FIT MY CAR?

a 245/35zr19 on a 19x9 wheel, the tire will look like it is stretched on the rim, i'd go with a 265/30zr19 or a 275/30zr19

As far as tire size, you need to select tires that keep the outside tire diameter very close to the stock tires. Since stock tires are 25.65", you have a limited number of choices. These would include:
245/35-19.... very close in diameter (25.75"), and by looking at the manufacturer's recommendations for rim width on a site like Tire Rack, you can find out that a 245/35-19 will fit correctly on a wheel width of 8.0 - 9.5". So that would be one possibility.
275/30-19.... A little smaller diameter (25.50") but not a bad match. Bridgestone and Michelin recommend that you use at least a 9.5" wide wheel for this tire, so it might look a little "bulgey" and have problems with the contact patch. But it is a possibility. 285's would be wayyy too wide for a 9" wide rim, in the 19" diameter.
Other than that, all 40-series tries will be way too large in diameter. Remember, a larger diameter screws up your speedo unless you reporgram the PCM, pushes the tires further up into the wheel wells, increasing the possibility of rubbing, and raises the entire vehicle slightly.
A question for you.... what is the "offset" or "backspacing" on your 19x9 wheels? If it isn't correct, it won't matter what tires you put on them... you will have problems.

Can I use the Pontiac Trans am vehicle applications under http://store.yahoo.com/wheelsmarket/b93099cr.html
The info they provide is extremely confusing...
"Pontiac Trans-Am 1994-up (5x4.75in/MPO/12x1.5Lug-nut/70.30 Bore"
"Chevrolet Camaro 1993-up (5x4.75in/Zero offset/12x1.5 Lug-nut/70.30 Bore"
They appear to be describing the bolt pattern for mounting the wheels, and this is the correct size - 5 holes on 4.75" circle, using 12mm-1.5pitch lugs. So all of that is correct. But rim "offset" is generally not quoted as part of the lug pattern. Something is screwed up.
Is this where you determined that the wheels are "0 offset"? If so, that might not be the correct info. I would send an e-mail to the manufacturer or the distributor and ask for the exact specs on the wheels they offer for the Camaro and Firebird, including diameter, width and offset of the wheels.

A 35mm offset on a 9" wheel will put the front of the wheel about 3.60" out from the hub. (It depends a little on the width of the rim flange that holds the tire bead on the rim. That can vary a little with the actual wheel design, but is usually in the range of .045-0.50")
Compare that to the stock 8" wheel = 2.30" out from hub.
Stock 9" (WS6/SS) wheel = 2.80" out from hub.
My old OZ Monte Carlo 9.5's = 3.30" out from hub (all 4 wheels):

My current ZR1/56mm offset 9.5's = 3.00" out from rim (front only.... backs are 11"):

I don't think you would want to put your wheels any further out than the OZ's above. That would mean an offset of 43mm is about as far as you want to go. The 35mm offset would stick out about 1/3" more than the OZ's. To match the ZR1 position, you need a 50mm offset in a 9" wheel. To match the stock WS6/SS wheels, you need a 55mm offset. To keep the inner edges of the wheels from starting to his the steering knuckle, you can't go any more than 60mm offset.

They finally returned my email today. They said that the offet for the 19X9" wheel is 40mm. How do you think it would look? I would like to thank you for all your help.

I "think" the 40mm will be OK. That will put the front face of the wheel/tire about 1/10" further out than the picture of my OZ Monte Carlo's. I never had a problem with 275/40ZR17's with those wheels, except while I had the front end dropped about 1.8". At full lock (obviously only at low speeds) the inner fender liner would come down on the outer edge of the tire... no damage or harm, just some noise.
Please keep in mind, all these calculations are "approximate". Offset is a very precise measurement, but you have to make some assumptions to get the actual locations of the inner and outer edges of the rims. The wheel width is also precise, but is measured on the "inside" of the flanges that retain the tire bead. To locate the inner or outer edge of the rim, I have to make assumptions on the width of the flange, and that varies slightly from wheel to wheel. Like I may have said earlier, the flange width is usually close to 1/2", so a 9" wheel it really 10" wide, if you measure the true "outside" dimensions. Confusing, and it makes it difficult to be real exact.
I think you will be OK. I think I remember some 35mm wheels that were sold for the 4th Gens... maybe the ones that LG Motorpsorts used to have made. They tended to make the wheels wells seem really "full", and they looked aggressive.
Good luck!
