Help with shaving interior!
I tryed to do a search for this topic cuz I remember someone doin it but I couldn't find it. I just broke my ashtray and there is no point in buying a new piece, along with my cup holder that I never use. So I was going to fill over it and and then paint it. I am just not sure what product to use. Like some type of plastic?? The person who did this has a red Trans Am with red seats if that rings a bell to anyone. Thanks for the help!!

Here's what I used. I went to Pep Boys, picked up some fiberglass sheets, and this dent remover/scratch remover kit. It came with putty and spot glaze and all that good stuff. I cut the fiberglass sheet so that it covered the ashtray hole, and used some of my moms 5 second nail superglue (sounds cheap, but that stuff kicks ****. After that, I spread the putty over the hole and let it sit overnight to dry. I sanded the **** out of the putty so that all edges were smooth to the touch, used glazing putty to fill in any pinholes, and painted over it. Looks stock still to this day. Just take your time and make sure that all pinholes are covered, because they will show up when you paint it no matter how small they are.
