Help Me Roll The Fender Lip!
I went to 4 body shops and none of them are willing to roll the fender lip so I can run 315's in the back. I want to do this myself. What's the strategy? I have a heat gun so I can warm it up. That helps to keep the paint from cracking, right?
What's the best way to bend the lip up? Does it need to be cut into sections so it can fold up? Then like squeeze it with something, or bang on it, or what? Can anyone help me?

There's a tool called "The Jimmie" that is made specifically for rolling the lip. It grabs a section of the lip at a time, and allows you to bend it up about 45-degrees. You still have to worry about the paint though. The instructions that come with the tool recommend a razor cut at the edge of the lip, just inside the fender. That forces the pain to crack at that point, with no risk of the cracks going to the outside of the fender.
I used one of these and it was decent.
What rims are you using? With the 50mm offset 17x11's, I didn't see rolling the lip as absolutely necessary. I did it, but probably could have got away without doing it.

I have the 17x11" wheels with 50mm offset and 315-35-17 nittos. I am running the Eibach 1.5" drop springs and I didnt do anything to the car to fit the 315's. The only time it ever scraped the outter fender lip was on my long highway drive back from college with the car PACKED with everything. Even then its not a big deal doesnt seem to damage the tire at all. Dont worry about it man just put them on and if for some reason your car is worse then start thinking about having the lip rolled up.
Hope this helps
