The LED tails on Ebay are made for the 98+ tails. They use differant sockets. You're either going to have to switch out the harness or hardwire in all new sockets for this to work.

Well its obvious that your stock socket is made to hold a bulb, not a plug in for a tail light assembly. I mean you pulled a bulb out of the socket to start with right?

You're going to have to take the socket out, then hook up the wires to your new plug in. You might need to have a test light so you know which wires go where, IE brake light, turn signal, etc.

Ah yes...the joys of Ebay and their glorious listings saying their parts will fit just about anything.

Try and find a part-out car and see about wiring in the harness from a 98+ Z and you should be a lot better off. No matter what you do though you will be cutting wires to make them work.

Talk to these guys:

Considering that everyone wants the taillights and not the harness/sockets, you can probably get them pretty cheap.

Parts stores might have them too, 3057 bulbs are very common in later model gm vehicles.
