Had my car painted, but it isn't glossy
I had my car painted a few months back and the parts that were painted are not glossy. The paint is all glossy except for the left fender and bumper, which were painted by a guy I know and they are flat red. Do I need to repaint them or should I just spray some clear coat on top? I have never painted a car so if someone could help me on what kind to get or anything like that I would appreciate your help so much.

So what do you reccomend, repainting it? Beucase I don't really have time to redo the whole thing. I just want to clear coat it or do something that doesn't involve sanding, priming, painting, then clear coating.
I can't take it back, this guy did me a favor by doing alot of work for very little money.
I don't know if this is a hard concept, but HOW DO I MAKE IT GLOSSY WITHOUT REPAINTING IT (if possible)?
Thats all I am asking, not for your opinions.

Unfortunately, josh, the nature of forums is to get opinions. You'll get answers, but you'll also get opinions. You can't ask for water but get no rain.
Something similiar to this happened to my wife's car back when we were dating...the guy did her a favor and she didn't feel like she could go back and complain and get it redone. The simple truth is...to get it to look right...that's what she should have done. She didn't...and it's never looked right. You might try using a fine buffing compound and a buffer then waxing...aside from that...you could always ASK the guy what you could do to make it more shiny. He just might offer to do something about it without you having to ask. It's all about being tactful. And the truth is...who better to tell you what to do than the man who put the material on the parts.
