GTO style Fuel rail covers????

I recently purchased a set of fuel rail covers that Holden puts on their LSX powered vehicles. They are very similar to GTO covers. I have looked everyhwere for info on what it would take to make them work and haven't come up with anything. Below is a link to view them on a HSV car. What do you guys think? I think that it would be rather unique. I have never seen them in an Fbody before?

Re: GTO style Fuel rail covers????

you didn't include a link btw...

Putting covers from another car on yours is always just an exercise in fitting and cutting. get a dremel or something similar, which won't damage the plastic like a drill and/or saw will, and is much more precise.

Then just fit it and cut it until everything clears.

Sorry about that here is the link:

I figured that they would have to be cut like I have seen the corvette covers. I was wondering also what is different about the 2 setups that keep the covers from just clipping on?

Don't know what year yours is but mine(95) has the oil fill closer to the center of the valve cover. Not sure if you could make them look right after cutting them.

I could have sworn there were aftermarket CAMARO lettered ones that snap right on maybe I'm wrong?

Yes Afterthoughts Auto makes them. Just like everything else on the site though, they are very expensive.

Does anyone have any useful information about what would need to be done to these covers to make them work. I don't have the money to get this wrong, I have to get them right the first time.

I bet if you took some pictures somebody could give you some advice. I don't have a clue what to tell you in the first place, but besides that, I can't think of what the engine looks like without popping the hood and looking, so maybe some pics would help others.

There are lots of walkthroughs out there. Google it if all else fails. I found three or four the last time i looked.

Re: GTO style Fuel rail covers????

I posted a link above that had a pic of the covers. They are the same as the covers that come on all GTOs. I figured that it was obvious what kind of car I had being that I stated "I have never seen these on an Fbody before."

Re: GTO style Fuel rail covers????

I have an 02 Z28 M6. I am sorry if last post seemed rude of me. I just haven't really been able to find much info. I am waiting to hear back from a wickdss at ls1tech.com because he has installed the GTO covers on his TA.
