Got new wheels, want to lower, need op..
I finally got my wheels in and on the car. They are TT2's wrapped in BFG Comp T/A tires. I know, I know, everyone has them but now I do too.
Anyway I think they look great. I'm kinda tinkering with the idea of lowering the car though. I think I could have gone with 18's instead of 17's and they would have still looked great, but I didn't. From my expirience my car already sits just a tad bit lower than most TA's I have been next to that also had stock ride height but I think its due to my car being 8 years old and the suspension sagging a bit. The only thing that would keep me from doing this is I'm starting to look for lower E.T.'s and I *think I remeber some talk about lowering a car and 60' ft times being worsend. Will lowering affect my E.T.'s and how? Also anyone with any lowered pics of birds? Pics are in the sig. Thanks everyone.

Your susp. will be much more stiff in turn making traction harder to obtain. Here's what I would do if your looking to lower your car and keep some traction. Get lower control are relocation brackets and that should help a bunch. Adj. panhard bar wouldnt be a bad idea so you can recenter the axle. Control arms, TQ arm, SFC's will help. I would just get relocation brackets, new shocks, something adj. so you can go soft at the track, and some DMS 1.3" drop progressive rate springs. Also never forget to get a front end alignment, if not you will jack your tires up.
I had Eibach Sportlines on mine but just sold them. IMO, they are too low, and a very harsh ride. The look was sweet though!
Link below has one pic of my ride with drop springs, its the first pic at the top of page.

I think the lowering springs hurt my 60' times a ton. With stock ride height and street tires I cut 2.0x 60' times. After the new rims with Nitto drag radials, lowering springs, lca relocation brackets, and an adj. panhard bar my 60' times are 2.0x...no better than before.
You would think that with drag radials, relocation brackets, and and adj panhard bar the 60' times would come down...I think the springs offset all the gains I would've seen.
I love the look though and won't be going back to stock ride height...I just had my subframes installed and can tell a big diff in the way the car launches...too bad the track doesn't open 'til April

I just got my DMS springs today and can't wait to put 'em on. I think I'll get some relocation brackets but that may take a minute cuz of funds
BTW, Mystic, those rims look a lot better than the other 5 stars you had. There may be a lot of people runnin' around with TT2's but not enough to convince me to find other rims yet
