I think it looks good as long as you go with the color of your car like stated or red or black. I think yellow looks tacky etc.. Painted calipers is ok....painted drums is rice =P

Just make sure you do it right. Don't half *** it.

C5 brakes' performance > LS1 brakes' performance => not ricey imo.

Painting brake calipers is not exactly my personal style, but to each his own. One thing to consider is that you want the calipers to get rid of heat as well as possible. That would mean flat black (which doesn't look too good). And any paint that's put on thick will tend to hold heat in.
