Is it gay to paint the brake calipers?

I was thinking of painting them red or something...

But I was wondering if this is considered gay in the camaro community.

depends on the car... post a pic of your car.

I like it, as long as the paint is applied right. I see a good bit of crappy caliper paint jobs (i.e. runs, flaking, horrible prep). Match the color to the color of your car and you should be good as gold.

depends on the color and the car. Also the size of the calipers.

my car came stock with red painted calipers. No idea why that's in the comp g package.

I'd paint them red... I painted the calipers on my vette gold. looks very good. I'd paint them red but the car is red and wouldnt look right. anything other than a red painted car should have red calipers they look just too cool.

The prior owner of my 'vette painted the calipers red, so now they're identical to a C5Z. It's ok, but not something I would have done.

Depends on the rotors; some have radial vanes so it doesn't matter, and some (Baer, etc.) have the holes and slots one way, the vanes the other, so they look backwards when they're installed correctly.
