I know that if you disconnect the battery and plug it back in, any LS1 should do what the video showed above...
Just use a relay or something to disconnect the power for a sec.
But your PCM will reset, and you will lose all LTFTs etc in the PCM, as well as any tripometer data.
Now MAYBE its not controlled by the PCM, and IS controlled by the cluster, which would mean you could potentially disconnect the power for a sec from the whole cluster when the ACC ON wire is hot, then it send back to normal operation. (Maybe using a relay?)
If this is true then you could keep your LTFTs etc in the PCM, but still not the tripometer, which Im pretty sure is stored in a chip in the cluster, like the mileage.
Any more work than that and it just isnt worth it...to me anyways.
