I never said it was cool to be an SS poser. Go back and re-read what I said about the wheels.
Look man, I dont need to tone down anything. You can take whatever I say however you want, that's on you because I could care less. My point has been made. Youre making it seem like ZR1 rims may be ok on a Camaro because they may have come on a SS. Even if they did come on SS's does that make it ok to use on a non SS using the train of thought shown in this thread?

I'm not doing anything so what are you talking about. Eitherway youre 100% correct. Alot of ignorance was displayed in this thread. With you being done and all the level went down 50%.

Its YOUR car. Do whatever YOU want to it, as long as it makes you happy. Dont worry about what other people think. You cant please everybody.

Re: Future appearance

I have something against a Camaro all done up in Corvette accessories. BECAUSE IT'S A CAMARO, NOT A CORVETTE. If you have a Z28 and you want to put SS wheels on it, that's a different story. They're still from a Camaro.

Re: Future appearance

So it's ok to have SS parts and SS badged parts on a Camaro because theyre both Camaros? Allrighty then.

i agree with aklaim. i just wanted to know if people liked my idea. this is what i AM DOING to my car in the near future. i like it. this whole argurment is the same as saying its gay to put any aftermarket parts for that matter if they didnt come factory for a camaro. it doesnt really matter. thats why we each have our OWN cars. you bought it, you can do with them as you please. i dont like a riced out civic with a tin can exhaust and neon likes...so i didnt get one. i didnt want any arguments over corvette parts on a camaro, rims or anything like that.

besides....the item in question is 2 pieces of vinyl. they cost 30 bux shipped. if i dont like them, i can pull them off and stick em to the wall.

Never said that. I don't believe in badging something as something else. I hate when people have Z28's and they throw all the SS badging on there.

As long as people can see that it's a Z28, having just SS rims on it is fine. The wheels I want are the ones my brother-in-law has stock on his '99 SS, the ZR-1 style chrome ones. I'd replace the "SS" in the center cap, though.

I know, but I've never been a fan of the GS stripes so I figured I'd mention something about the other Corvette accessories people put on their F-bodies. It's a pet peeve of mine.

I dunno about the rail covers. If they say Corvette, they should be on a Corvette.

All this from a guy in a Focus Do enlighten us...

I own both a Vette and a 97 Camaro (that I just so happen to have dropped Z06 wheels on)

I didnt know how sensitive people got on here when dealing with Corvette accessories (in this case hash marks) but sheesh!

I say do whatever makes YOU happy and your "future appearance" photoshop looks great

Re: Future appearance

yeah i think the photoshop looks awesome... im not against hte GS stripes but they never really caught my attention

if people cant use SS or WS6 wheels, which look better than alot of the other factory ones, what are people to do if they dont like the stockers and dont like or cant afford american racing wheels or cragars

... i think wheels are wheels and who cares as long as the owners happy its all good man.... if you wanna keep it all original and factory thats cool too, to each man his own, as long as we are f body enthusiasts instead of like honda or whatever its fine...

and GTKiller, i presume your wheels came off an LT1 firehawk am i right? they do look very good
