It's already primered

Depends largely on color and how good of job you want.

Also, I suspect you are better at converting US to Canadian than I am at converting the other way because I have no clue. LOL!

The millennium yellow paint job on my SS would cost you $5,000 if there is no body damage from the guy who painted mine. Expensive, yes, but when you look at it you can see why it was expensive

Well, mine needed painted anyway because a hit a deer. It cost me money out of pocket but not $5k. My painter did say, however, that because it was a tint based paint that if anybody else wanted their Camaro painted that color it would cost them $5k. It took 8 to 9 coats of just the paint and the paint is over $300 a gallon and there is 5 or 6 gallons of just yellow on the car and that doesn't include the clear. So, there is over $2000 in materials in the paint job alone.

When we took My husbands Z in to get painted (just the hood & the Hatch area) it cost us $3k But that was for customized paint job + clearcoating the stuff.

Heck if you want ok paint job for now until you can afford to get a better one then Hold your breath & go to MACCO. Or even do it yourself

I got my car done at maaco over a year ago... and it looked great up until the moment it was stolen and wrecked... and after I put on the new ls1 front end I took it back there to get repainted and im sure it will last for along time...Infact it is warenteed for so many years. But you got to remember, each maaco differs in quality since they are all independantly owned... so steak out there shops and see what kind of work they do. I was so happy with my first paintjob there, that I took it back after that accident... and now Im going to get my g/fs 92 mazda 929 in the next few weeks.
