Wheels, Wheels, Wheels

I dont want to put this in the appearance section because no one ever goes in there.

OK, I am looking to spend about $1100 on wheels/tires and need some options.

My car is a polo-green Z (see sig) and I am wondering what wheels to get? Silver or polished? Size? HELP

4 Nitto's $656 delivered. 4 SS Rims, 3 used, 1 reconditioned, $350.
Go with 17x9's, they look very nice! I think right now a couple of people are putting a group purchase together for tires. Might save some $$$. Good Luck!

I just put some SLP SS takeoffs on my '02.

They will cost you $1219 to your door. Mounted and ready to install. Or they have just the rims or with KDW's on them for more money but I think the F1's at that price are hard to beat. I like the painted better than crome. Later>>>>>

You hit the nail on the head. You can get a set of brand new Chrome ZR1 17*9.5 with Khumo 275/40/ZR17 tires mounted and balanced for around $1150. Best deal around. Just the chrome ZR1s are $1099 on SLPs site without the tires.

I saw on Horsepower TV that Cragar is now making the classic SS wheels in sizes up to 17's now.... Note: Be careful about backspacing! 4th Gens do not use the traditional backspacing and improper wheels will look really really stupid (read: stick out like a mexican truck).

You can't go wrong with polished or chrome 1996-1999 SS wheels...

Torque Thrust 2s look better then the Cragar wheels, and they have correct backspacing for 4th gens, I dont know if I can say the same about the cragar

What?!?! The Appearance Section is the 2nd most popular forum not including the Lounge and For Sale areas I do believe.

Plus, that's no excuse to not at least TRY the proper forum first.

I'll move this to the Appearance Section and if, after a few days, you don't get the response you desire, then repost here starting your message off with something like "I tried the Appearance Section but looking for additional opinions..."

Thanks

buy 4 kumho's for less than 500 to your door, then you have 600 to spend on wheels, which can get you a wide variety of wheels depending on if you want new or used. I've always been a fan of chrome ZR1/SS wheels myself

I know, but I got them from them through ebay, so they were less. I think it was like 1500 after tires, taxes, etc.

I am leaning to the ZR1's becasue of my budget. The only prob is that I dont know if I want silver or chrome. I am going to be getting the SS hood soon so I dont know which one will blend together good. I love the way the '96 SS has the ZR1 with no center caps. Here is a photochopped pic of my car with some ZR1's.

O, sorry about the appearance section knock.
