flat black or flat black with clear coat

gmhightechperformance.com has a flat black camaro test mule with a ls7, anyways is that just flat black paint or is that flat black with a clear coat gonna paint my car same color i love it.

it may be flat black, but if youre gonna do it, do it right and clear it. they sell matte finish clearcoat that you will paint on top of a black basecoat...if you do it with just black primer or flat black paint without a clear coat, it will absorb water into the finish and fade and/or rust

i don't think its flat black, just looks like base coat with no clear.

I don't know if Matte Clearcoat is available, but I'd use clearcoat if it was my car. You don't want your new $1000+ flat black paint job to end up looking like a 1980s Honda CRX with its clearcoat all peeled off do ya? Without the clearcoat, the paint will probably fade like crazy.
