The first F-1 Camaro (1994)

I saw this on ebay and thought it was cool. The F-1 package consisted of:

Part No. Description
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
12363906 32mm front stab. bar, bushings, link kit, and track bar
12364002 17"x9"x50mm ZR-1 style wheels with P275/40ZR-17 Comp T/A tires
12363998 16"x8"x66mm ZR-1 style wheels with P245/50ZR-16 Comp T/A tires
12363902 6-speed Hurst shifter (leather wrapped shift ****)
12363925 cat-back performance exhaust (dual single-side outlet)
12363940 3 piece rear spoiler (primed)
12363915 4 piece ground effects package (primed)
12363978 cold air induction packge (1993, for use with MAP)
12363979 cold air induction packge (1994 and up, for use with MAF)
12363910 F1 Specialty Vehicle Package - everything above (1993)
12363911 F1 Specialty Vehicle Package - everything above (1994 and up)

Not many people got it, it's pretty rare. It also included stripes, but for some reason there isn't a part number for them. I guess in the grand scheme of things, you could have just bought all of the pieces separately and made it yourself, but it is pretty cool that it was a rare option.

The car is on ebay, but I don't want my post removed because I'm not intending on advertising it. I just wanted to show you guys something cool that I don't see very often.

You can also see a scan I did of the accessories brochure that came with our 2002 Camaro SS that mentions the F-1 package here:

Tha F-1 package was a Dealer installed option. Or you could buy it over the counter and install it yourself. It was available where ever GM Performance parts were sold. Mine was on the car when I brought it new, I ordered the car with the kit through the dealer. It added another $5,000.00 to the window sticker..

I think it's cool but whay makes it rare? If you sell it how do you prove it was a dealer option? ANyways like I said it's still cool and I learned something new today.

It's just rare because not many people got the package or knew it existed. It was in a "hidden" options area when ordering your car from the dealership or building it online. By "hidden" I mean it was in a section you didn't expect it to be in (with cargo nets, rubber floor mats, etc.).

Essentially, it wasn't anything that you couldn't get from the aftermarket, but coming from the factory was sure a cool thing.

I hadn't seen that show car before. I'm suprised they put a serialized badge on it since the kit was just a dealer add on or you could buy the package and put it on yourself. I worked with a girl who's husband and her picked up a 30th anniversary Z28 that had the F1 package on it from the dealer. It was a sweet car and wish I could track it down and buy it.

Wow, a 30th anni edition with the orange stripes AND the F-1 package??? That's gotta be something to see!

Back when we got our 35th anni SS, I don't believe you could get the F-1 package on top of it. Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong!
