WOW...car looks awesome, inside and out.

how far do the seats fold back?

nice to see women working on and taking pride in their cars.

As in how far do the fronts recline? Pretty damn far. Way farther than I ever need to recline in fact because I am only 5'3".

Thanks for the compliments all!

I am curious as to what kind of wood (thickness?) you made it out of. you said it only weighs 8 lbs, how "strong" does it seem? (its not going to crumble if you put something heavy on it?)

I can't remember if it was quarter or half inch (you can see how much thought I put into carpentry lol). Yeah I could put something on it if I needed and it would be fine, although 9/10 times I just put that stuff in the trunk.

I don't think I can give out dimensions. It would be one thing if it was square, or even a perfect circle shape, but it is not. The right side is also different from the left (the sail panels lay different) and then of course there is the driveshaft hump, which is also asymetrical. So really it is impossible to describe mathematically what size everything needs to be...

But really now everyone has pictures of it that should give a good idea of what it could look like, there is nothing stopping you from trying to make your own. I used some blue insulation foam (1/2" thick) to cut a pattern out with, that way I could sit in the car with a razor knife and trim it as need be before I cut the pattern out of wood. After that it's just a matter of screwing it together and stapling the carpet around the edges...simple, just time consuming.

I used half inch plywood.
