Best price - and good place to buy from.
Just be sure and select the 100w and you want 2, they are sold individually. I suggest you go ahead and pick up 4 at a time - that way you have two backups in case of a burn out. You can afford to at that price. If you use the Hella wiring though, and you have good connections, etc., you shouldn't have a burn out for a long, long time. I ran those exact bulbs for headlights for a long while. I need to pick up some more, just haven't.
does that fit in the stock housing? which ones hi and low? or are these bulbs for fog lights?

Re: FF75 Install ??

Theyll fit in the stock housings, but you need to use epoxy to keep them in there. And the 9006 is the lows, and the 9005 is the highs.

Re: FF75 Install ??

DiabloGT -- The bulbs 94BlackBowtie was reffering to are H-7 Halogen bulbs for the FF75/50 driving and fog light units from Hella. They won't fit the stock sealed beams in our 93-97 cars as a plug and play. The sealed beams could probably be modified for these but would involve cutting out the orig bulb element from the reflector/lense and gluing these in their place. You just go from dim crappy stock lights to brighter crappy stock lights The 93-97 Camaros really need a better designed (Hella) light unit ( bulb/reflector/lense ) to see a dramatic improvement in lighting. I know the guys that have modified their stock sealed beams with brighter bulbs are gonna argue with me about that but they haven't driven Sam95zNoTop's or my car after dark

I'm not trying to offend anyone who's done the bulb replacement mod because it does improve the light output of the 4351 and 4352 sealed beams. Just the Hella 90mm projectors are amazing with just 65w bulbs in them.

Hella

EDIT: eagleknight97 is right, that link was to the 9005 and 9006 bulbs and I got my links crossed with somebody else I'm helping out. Sorry! But other than quoting the wrong bulbs, the above still applies

Re: FF75 Install ??

The FF75 Hellas are very similar in size and shape to the stock headlights but look much better IMO. They are a pretty simple upgrade - remove the stock headlights and buckets, make some flat steel brackets, bolt them to the brackets and wire them up.

Here is an install page:

http://wyland.cz28.com/ff75.htm

Down at the bottom of the page is a good pic of them on the car ( nice car ).

Here are the FF75s, but a search on e-bay should find them cheaper:

Re: FF75 Install ??

I am going to install these light this weekend(i hope).Work chewing up most of my time.I went to the local Lowes hardware to find some steel, but they only had 2 inch in a 1/8,no 3 inch. They had 3/16 in a 3 inch, but it was 12.00 for 3 ft. I went to the local Ace Hardware, they didn't have it on the sales floor, but i did talk to a guy who said that he would check to see if he had any 1/8 in back. Well,he did.And it was 3 inches wide. They were already cut into 6 inch pieces and i grabed them up.Best thing is,he let me have both pieces for $1.07.

Hey, great deal and saves ya from having to cut them! Send some of that luck my way, will ya? When ya pull the original brackets off, just use them as a template to drill the rad support mounting holes in the flat stock.

Are you just doing the fogs or are you going to do the FF75 headlight conversion, too?

Re: FF75 Install ??

Hey z28nut, that ff75 install page link doesn't work for me. Can you doublecheck it? I just bought a '94 Z28 and in comparison to my Formula these headlights suck. I'm definitely in the market for something better.

I'm planning on using some PIAA driving lights I removed from my Formula on the Z28, so I'm covered there.

94bird -- It worked when I posted it. It's not working now for me either. This link might help more because it's a PIAA conversion for a Camaro:

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/94Z/piaa.htm

I don't know if it's the same style PIAAs you already have but should get ya started. Yeah, the Camaro sealed beams totally suck. Heck, we can't even get SilverStars in that size sealed beam.

Re: FF75 Install ??

The PIAA driving lights I will be using are rectangular. They look almost exactly like the existing driving lights on the Z28. I'd like to consider using the FF75 lights for the headlights. Got any install links?

Re: FF75 Install ??

That was the only FF75 install link I had handy. On the PIAA install page, scroll down to the PIAA install method #2. Just above are some pics of FF75s installed on a green Camaro. Click on the pics and it should give you a pretty good idea of how to put them in. The Hellas are going to be alot less expensive than the PIAAs -- somebody recently got the kit (2 lights + wiring) for 38 bucks on ebay. Another thread with some install pics is here:

Re: FF75 Install ??

If you're not going to be running high wattage bulbs, splicing into the stock harness is fine. The FF75 bulbs are 55w, I have 65w H9 Hella 90mms in all four spots and have had no trouble with stock harness for almost 2yrs. I saw a thread where someone figured out the stock headlight harness could handle 130w bulbs and the fog harness 100w bulbs. I don't know how accurate that is, so procceed with caution if you upgrade the bulbs to anything over 80w on stock harness. Since I'm stuck with 65w H9 bulbs (if anyones seen higher wattage H9s, let me know) if I upgrade, it'll be HID.

Re: FF75 Install ??

I tackled this project today. Ill have the pics and stuff up tommorow sometime. Im not quite done with it yet though. I still need to get some screws and spacers. I dremel'd out the stock housing to make it work. I also used the harness that came with the kit. I really like the way its gonna look. I think in the summer I might buy another set of driving lights and a set of fog lights and switch to fogs where fogs should be, and use the driving lights as headlights. Anyways, ill have pics up tommorow sometime.
