Does any one have these from Baer Brakes. Just wondering how good they are and when they say a size bigger, how big is that.

Anyone

Thanks,
Johnny

The plus one is not for Camaros, its for SUVs and trucks.
For a Camaro you would use the track or sport kit, depending on what size wheels you have. If you get the sport kit (12" Rotors) you can use it with your stock wheels but you won't be able to use your stock space saver spare, you will need a 98+ spare. With the track kit (13" rotors) you will need 17" wheels and free towing

Why do you say it is not meant for a Camaro? Isn't the +1 just a 13inch rotor? If someone already has 17 inch or bigger rims would it not work fine? I am just asking because I have the stock LS1 rotors which are 12 inches correct? and are notorious for warping and I was thinking about upgrading to a better rotor. Not necessarily the Eradispeed+1s, but definately something a little bigger than stock and I thought they would work fine. If they won't please let me know, thanks.

No, if you look at their website, the "+1" series is for SUVs, the F Body brakes are called the track kit and the sport kit, both have bigger rotors than stock.

In answer to the original posters questions they are a 13 inch rotor and according to Baer they are better (what a suprise!)

What I would like to know is if they are in fact actually better and if they will fit on a Camaro.

I checked Baers site and I do not see where it says they are for SUVs, however the Product Detail link was not working. The other day I read this on Thunder Racings website when looking for rotors:

"For certain applications, Baer additionally offers Eradispeed + 1 Rotors. These rotors are of a size larger than the original, which will still work with original calipers. This results in increased performance (brake torque) by virtue of the increased leverage of the larger diameter rotor."

Why would Thunder Racing mention them if they are not for an F-body? Maybe a Camaro is not one of the qualified applications? All I want to know is if a 13 inch rotor will fit, with or without modifications to the caliper location. Also will a 13 inch rotor make any noticeable improvement over a 12 inch rotor?

The Eradispeed series is only made for the 98 and newer F-Bodies. That includes the Eradispeed and Eradispeed+ rotors. Since they don't make either of those for the 93-97 4th Gens, I doubt they would offer the Eradispeed+1 for a 97. Might want to check directly with Baer to confirm.

Well I was looking at the EradiSpeed Plus One set up and it seems like they are made for SUV's because they come with a 14 inch rotors. Sweet I wonder if they would fit a f-body if you had 18 inch rims since I don't think 14 inch rotor would fit on a 17 inch rim.

Reminds me, I was talking a friend that has 14 inch rotors with a four piston calipors (I think thats what you call them) on a 17 inch rim. I thought you couldn't do that. Anyways, it fills up open space really well and I think it looks way better then 13 inch rotors. The car is a Merc. AMG if that makes a difference.

Edit: Injuneer's right.

This thread left me with more questions than before I read it. What size are the +1 rotors...13 or 14 inch? I thought they were 13 but now Johnnynsac is sayin they are 14. Are the bigger rotors really any better? Will a bigger rotor work with an LS1 brake setup? How big can you go before you have to do any modification to the factory caliper position? If anyone can answer these questions it would be much appreciated, thanks.

The only rotor size that would work with LS1 brakes would be the stock LS1 size.
You can't increase the diameter of the rotor on any disc brake system without relocating the caliper.

I was talking about the fronts. Last year when I tried to buy the fronts, I was told by several vendors, and by Baer they were not available for the front (I already have the Baer Enhanced on the rear, so I didn't ask about those). Availability may have changed since then, and the Baer site is always "under construction", that's why I suggested that they check directly with Baer.

My mistake.
