Emblem / Badge Adhesive Removal

This is actually about my beater 93 Blazer, but the principle should be the same. I used fishing line to remove the 4x4 emblems from the B-pillars, and now I have a hard, bumpy black adhesive on the body. Ideas for how to remove this without destroying the paint underneath?

I've always had good luck with WD 40.

Just use nail polish remover. If you use VERY little at a time and only apply it to the goo itself you should be in good shape. Just don't splatter it all over the car. btw, I use dental floss whenever I need to get emblems off.
