dumb questions on dash swap

Doing a 97+ dash swap in my 95. Do I need the other half of the HVAC that is actually mounted on the firewall too or will my 95 match up to the 97+ ductwork bolted to the new dash. Couldnt find a clear answer searching.

Also just to be sure, the 97+ Bird/TA dash pad is the same as 97+ Camaro right?

Im going to be using a 97 TA cluster, Anything I need to know or modify other than repinning my plug? Is the actual plug/connector from a 98 going to be right for the 97 TA cluster?

Lastly, does anybody have a diagram for the vent selector switch/vaccume lines from the 98? I accidently(retardedly) removed it from the switch before I found the connection one whole foot away under the dash. I knew about it, just had a lot on my mind. I think I got it back together right, I put the spring in, the little metal plate and the rubber piece in the grooves on that plate with the lines facing away from the switch, is there anything else that went in there? Another spring?

I am curious about this as well. I have a 01 dash ready to go in but I do not have the ductwork behind it. There are plenty of cars in the yards to steal it from, just don't want to rip one apart and buy it if I do not have to.

All 97+ dashpads will fit. Only difference is 97-99 is dark gray, 00-02 is ebony.

Ya, you'll need the ductwork, Im just wondering about the HVAC box on the firewall itself, that holds the blower motor and heater core and evaporator. Thanks for the info on the pads and colors though. Good to know.

Yes the evap/heater box will work for you.

Damn, looks like I am hitting up the yards this week.
