What is the best way to remove the door emblems from a Trans am? How do you keep all the pieces straight when you put them back on? By the way I am wondering because I am taking them off to paint them.

you should get vinyl overlays from Brent, its not so permenant, and that way you dont have to take off the emblem

 

to take them off, i used heavy fishing line to slide behind them and kind of saw the tape, sticky stuff, whatever held them on, but whatever it was, wasnt really sticky anymore, it was hard and they had dirt behind them, so i ended up just very carefully popping them off with my fingers.

 

Cool! What type of adhesive should I use to put them back on? I was thinkin 3m double sided tape, but that wouldnt work with the shape of the letters. Is their some kind of spray adhesive that would work?
