I need the part # for a K&N air filter that fits factory air box for a 97 camaro SS? I can't find it anywhere so if anyone can help I would apreciate.

In my 96 SS, I have used K&N #33-2018 almost since the car was new with no problems (over 132k miles).
K&N never did make a filter specific to this application.

I now have a BlackWing air filter that I bought from SLP in the car for occasional drives. I put in the K&N when I show the car.

Did you try the K&N Website? They have a very thorough listing of their products

They don't make one for our cars. I want to say because of the oil with the ram air. Like said earlier #33-2018 fits pretty well. I haven't had any trouble with it in my car (~10k miles on filter) I believe the filter was intended for a Jeep though.

I'm pretty sure I'm using 33-2018. I have the box at home I can check if you'd like, but it won't be for a week or so.

33-2048 will work as well, but is of a thinner profile.

The one in the picture in the above post is definitely a 33-2018.
