97 Anniversary Carpet...
Ive got a coded (Z4C) 30th Anniversary Camaro... and cant figure out for the life of me the actual color of the stock carpet, and where to find a new one. Hawks samples they sent me suck... because the only 2 that match, according to their chart... are colors that arent available after 92.
Who here knows what color carpet is in the 30th Anniversary Camaro... and where I can get a NEW one?

Try here for color samples:

I Think your carpet color is officially called Gray.
You need to look at your RPO Code tag on the drivers side door to find your carpet color trim code.
Last known GM Part Number for trim codes 10I, 14I, 73I, 92I:
10290204 (F87 - Coupe)
10280207 (F67 - Convertible)
If your trim code is 12I, your carpet color is Graphite
Graphite, by name, was last used in the 1996 model year, but could possibly have been used early in the 1997 model year.

stockinteriors is a supplier for most aftermarket sites, so just get the carpet from them. I know for a fact yearone uses either stockinteriors.com's or auto-interior.com's carpet. For that matter, I believe stockinteriors supplies the carpet to auto-interior.com...
I can't remember for 100% certain the details of who is supplying who. Summit Racing has carpet, but the carpet is from one of those two sites above as well.

For a fact its not graphite, and I spent 3 hours going through my rpo codes, only to find "trim" codes... I believe the color I need is Opal... but Ill be damned if I know for sure.
The RPO code is 10I. All it says is "gray trim"... I cant find "gray" carpet... but I can find every other damn thing...
Edit: stockinteriors carries a "gray" carpet. Im requesting a sample.

stockinteriors should have a listing of factory colors in one section. Just order every shade of gray in that section and see what matches. They let you have around 5, and they've even sent me an extra color before. Wonderful company.
To my knowledge, carpet colors were never an RPO code. I've never paid attention to the code that says paint colors and possibly other trim colors, simply because I know all the paint codes for 4th gen Camaros, and I've never really thought about it.
Unless I'm mistaken, and I might be, there were two grays available in 1997. They were simply called dark gray and medium gray. The leather seats were dark gray, and the cloth ones were likely dark gray and medium gray both. I'm fairly certain "ebony" leather was not available until around 2000. I don't know if the carpet changed colors to go with it. I suppose I could take a picture of our '02 SS floormat on top of our '95 Z28 floormat for comparison.... I think they are the same color...?
