Headlights are different plus the addition of the side fog lights.

The LT1's frt end looks good from side angles, but mostly it's too thin and sometimes angles too much. So much so that it looks almost ramp like sometimes where the hood and windshield are at the same angle. The RS groundFX fixes it, but then the rest of the body is thicker. I do however like that squinty look. But head on the recessed headlamps w/ the wall looks out of place. Maybe if that blacked out part was made into some sort of parking lamp with 3 slotted holes for light....

Overall the LS1 (2nd iteration of the 4th gen) is more proportional and head on, looks meaner and more up-to-date as well.

Peanut lamps for me, thx

Yes like a ferocious seabring

Not picking on ya man, without a ss or cowl hood of some sort the LS1 front end is bland IMO. You've got all these curves and then a big mostly flat area smack in the middle. I always thought the LT1 looked more agressive, kinda like it had one of those evil smiles. LS1=Catfish

Yes, in my opinion the 2nd iteration looks meaner. I know it's got a diff grille, but just picture it with a stock one or picture the other one with an a/m one as I am too lazy to search for pics.

You can say it looks like a catfish and at times, it does. The base v6 sometimes has that look. But overall, like I said, I like the LS1 more. But when you look atthe LT1, it looks so flat in the frt, almost like a pouting lip...if the LS1 is a Catfish, then the LT1 is a dustbuster

flame suit on...

arrgg, pics aren't working....whatever

i like them both, but I definitely think the lt1 style looks a lot older. lt1 style also seems to work better with ground effects in my opinion.

Huh? The v6 and z28 98+ look identical minus badges and exhaust tips...?

Yes, but it looks weaker because of the taller skinnier tires, and yes I know near the end it came with 235s. Which doesn't give it much of a stance. Combine that with the knowledge you know that it doesn't have the badge or the tips.....

I just think the LS1 looks meaner because of the eyes, it looks more pissed off than the squinty look of the Lt1. I like both, but if I had to choose I choose the catfish look. The way I see it is, take a Z28 from both iterations. Add a hood, stripes, rims, and maybe even GFX, at the end the LS1 looks meaner to me.

Never liked the 98-02's or as I call them, "The 4th Gen. B models", that's why I bought the 97.
They have grown on me over the years though.

Yes, it works better cause it needs to thicken up in the frt. It does't work as well on the LS1 cause it looks too thick. I think that's why the sports appearance package is broken up frt for the LS1 more than the fact people are breaking them on the RS 1st iterations

More options with regards to grilles with the LS1.

Stock appearance, the LT1 looks meaner unless it's an LS1 with an SS hood. LT1 SS may throw a wrench in that generalization

LS1 with a billet or SLP grille looks much better though than any LT1 imo.

I think the LT1 front ends look like a geo storm. The LS1's are much nicer.

I can't wait til that reference dies. Then again, I haven't seen a Geo Storm in probably 5 years, so maybe it almost has.

i think its subjective on a per-car basis. I think black LT1s look mean as hell, esp with an SS hood... but at the same time i think 35th SS is one of the best looking 4th gens ever made.
