Does this change your mind about the front ends of the 98 and up LS1's

I know some people hate the bubble look....

 

Well i like it better than the lt1 front end

 

I think it fits the car a WHOLE lot better. It almost looks like it was designed for the car. I think of it like this.. the rear of the 4th gen Camaro is huge and fat-looking. The front of an LT1 is slim and squashed looking. The front of an LS1 isn't. The front of the LS1 looks like it PROPORTIONALLY matches the rear a whole lot better. If the rear of the LT1 was different in any way to match the front end.. then LT1s could be enjoyable imo. The main thing I don't like about the LT1s are the little black corner peices on the sides of the headlights. I can't STAND those for some reason. It just looks like the designers messed up and were like.. "oh well"

 

I still prefer the LT1 body style.

 

I am in love with this front end...IMO

 

lt1 front end is sooo much cleaner imho... especially when we end up getting proper lights for them

 

To each his own I guess, but I wouldn't get an LS1 without it being in a bird. I think they did a great job on that one.

i might be missing this whole point, but all i see different is the front grill. am i missing something?

 

The LS1 (front) seems to be a "love it" or "hate it" thing . The LT1 has generally seemed to be more widely "accepted" . I however, really do like the looks of the LS1 front end (IMO, they got the fit & finish a little better with the single headlight unit) ... but I really like the looks of having the big plastic insert pulled out and a screen kit installed (as you have pictured) ... the only thing holding me back from doing it is our stupid front plate laws here in Ontario ..... but I still may do it one day anyway!

 

hahaha dont do it bro.... they will take your car an impound it as a part of that new stupid racing law... and you know they can too... they will say you were trying to hide your plate from view, so if you raced, it would be harder to see your plate....

I wish our 35th Anni SS had an LT1 front bumper on it. This looks really nice compared to what we have.

 

Paint the grill. IMO it makes a nice difference.
