Decal removal?

I want to remove my factory formula v8 sticker off thr rear of my car. If I remove it will it leave a image of the sticker since it's been on the car since new, and if not what can I use to get it off?
Thanks in advance.

I've always used lacquer thinnner, rub it down, the sticker sohuld peel and the leftover residue sohuld come off. Wash it afterwards, so don't leave the stuff to sit on the paint

Use a heat gun or a hair drier, lacquer thinner is a little harsh on the paint. Peel it off, rub and buff, never know it was there.

i know paint shop guys and they use laquer thinnner....getting it hot gets it gooey and makes it harder to get off. take the laquer thinner to a towel then rub the decal until it's saturated and try to peel it wiht your finernail. It will start coming off, and will be less hassle than a hair dryer. It won't mess your paint up unless you throw it all over your bumper and don't wash it off. Never had any problems thus far.
