Dash!!!

I need a dash for my 93 Z28 Camaro


any ideas


(just the plastic big piece that takes up most of the dash)

You can sometimes get lucky on ebay and find one, although they're usually only 30-40 dollars less than a brand new one and you never know how much sun that ebay dash has had. It may last you several years, it may only last you several months. It's the gamble you take when buying used parts.

As the old mantra says, what's cheaper in the beginning is usually more expensive in the end.

speaking of dash's.....can any of you guys help me I'm trying to figure out how to get to my speedometer light (it went out) and I have no clue where to look, I have a 96' Firebird

It's probably something like my 97 Camaro's dash where there's a plastic trim ring in front of the gauge cluster. If you remove that you'll probably find a bunch of screws around the perimeter of the cluster. Take those out and you're on your own from there. I've had the gauges out of my 93, but never the 97. Sorry dude, that's about all I can give you for help.

my dash is fine but is there anything I could put on it to protect it other than a big dash cover?

Holy ***** they went up that much, I paid like 110 for mine directly from GM. Of course this was like 5 years ago too.

Use a cardboard or reflective sun shade in the windshield when parking the car in the sun and it won't crack. I should know... 12 years of ownership and a perfect dash .

yea Im going to do that because I definatly dont want to shell out 170 for that. I've got more important things to waste money on like optis and my clutch and such
