If you do them on just one side you lose quite a bit of ground clearance because you have to clear the driveshaft and torque arm closer to the rear of the car.

Plus you have to go over the fuel and brake lines.

I would do two sides.

 

You can order oval pipes I think spintech had some. that would help with ground clearence.
