Coverlay dashpad

Has anyone tried the Coverlay dashpad from Rockauto? What's your experience?

Re: Coverlay dashpad

I'm not sure how much you're looking to spend, but gmpartsnow.com appears to have reasonable shipping charges on OEM dash/crash pads. I'm not sure if the estimated shipping is what you would actually end up paying, but if so it's much cheaper than some other GM sites. They've also got half off shipping running on orders over $299.

I just went through an order up to payment, and the estimated shipping does seem to be what they actually charge. Living in Georgia, it also looks like you might not have to pay sales tax.

You're welcome. Hopefully you find it useful. I'm not sure how much the Coverlay piece costs, but I'm the kinda person that would pay considerably more for an OEM part. I think their price, even with shipping, is a hair cheaper than I paid 2-3 years ago from my local hometown dealer, and the price they gave me seemed pretty reasonable at the time. No tax helps, as well as half off shipping. I'm not certain, but I believe that part number is for the graphite colored pad, which may be the only OEM color available anymore. If I had to guess, I would say it accounted for the bulk of dash colors that rolled off the assembly line.. You could always contact them to confirm the color.

Just out of curiosity, I went and priced the Coverlay piece. Holy *&^%. Rockauto's shipping for that thing seems pretty effing ridiculous.
