I hear that the best way to install them on your car is to take out the headlights and install them from the top.

Thumbs up

There is a 10mm bolt going into the back of the housing assembly. Center side to side, and slightly high top to bottom. The whole adjustment assembly comes out with the housings.
Unplug the wires from the headlamp bulbs and leave the bulbs in the housings. When the bulbs are unplugged and that 10mm bolt is out, slide the housing towards the nose of the car. This releases 2 clips on the bottom of the housing.
Now the headlights pull right out and give you gobs of room to work from top.
When you remove the headlight housings, be gentle so you don't scratch paint. If you feel they are coming out too tight for comfort, you can take out the 5 or 6 push pins that secure the top of the nose. They are right under the leading edge of the hood, in front of the airbox. This allows you to flex the nose and make a little more room to move the housings.
Put everything back in reverse order.
This is the best way to change bulbs too. It took me 20 minutes to install clears this way, start to finish. I tried from the bottom first, I didn't get anywhere in 20 minutes and got eyes full of dust and crap from working under the lamps.
Good luck
Dave

Hey,

Just finished up. It was fairly simple. First I removed the headlight harnesses (2). Then I took the 10 mm bolt out, slid the headlights to the side and took them out. Then the harnesses for the corner lens. Next I took off 3 bolts to hold the corner lens. Getting the lens out was a little tricky, the end of it barely catches against the inside wall of the bumper. I just loosened a bolt over there enough to flex the bumper, and slide it out (same for putting it back in).

The only major problem I encountered was screwing the 1st lens back in. I really didn't tighten it down much, just wanted to make it snug, and the damn screw split (with the shaft completely in the housing). So I had to file down the damn plastic housing where the screw was about 1/8", enough to grab the screw and then twisted it out. I just put some washers between the plastic and the bracket, and all was well.

The only other minor problem was getting the headlight units back in, and aligned (a hell of a lot easier just forcing / twisting / turning them to get them out).

Overall, everything looks great...I'll have some pictures up soon.

The only problem I'm having (maybe not a problem). But in comparison to the fog lamps and headlights, the turn signals look really weak now (kept the stock clear bulb, with this new clear housing). Are there any brighter intinsity bulbs that'll fit these sockets? Do most people that do this mod put amber bulbs in (I bought some from Auto Zone, but decided not to put them in)?

Let Me Know,
Thanks,
Kevin

I used amber bulbs.
Fwiw, the law says they must be amber, but alot of folks get away with other colors.
I also modded the car to rid myself of DRLs. I figured that I paid good money for the clear corner look, why not keep the look when the car is running...
My mod is on my site... forgot which page, but it's there.

DRLs? Yah I'm thinking about putting the amber bulbs in (looks good with things off...but I just hate the amber flasher).

The white looks excellent. I was told by Xtreme Autosports (local place here in Dayton) and Auto Zone that clear lenses and clear bulbs were legal in Ohio.

DRLs = Daytime Running Lights
The 'safety feature' that turns your front corner lights on when the engine is running.
I hated that I bought clear corners and that the car looked good parked, but when driving the corners were lit and ruined the mod's looks. So I disabled the DRLs. Which is not illegal anywhere in the country, the DRLs are not a manditory feature for cars, they are GM's policy.
