convertable leak(pump fluid)

when i got the car the top pump wouldnt budge the convertable top, look and saw it was out of fluid, so obviosly it was leaking. Later on i discovered that the drivers side back seat was soakin up all the convertable pump fluid.

so right now i have the back seats on my bed(stinkin up my room) so i can access the shock where it is probobly leaking. Took the side plastic off and the speaker. I could(barley) see that their was some junk on the top of the shock where the shaft comes out the top and maybe some on the top connector.

Sorry if im making this seem more complicated than it is but the question is, HOW IN THE HELL AM I SUPPOST TO WORK ON THIS THING?????

the crap around it is welded together so i cant remove that...

Does anyone have any experience in this, can you help me out with trying to find/fix this leak?

How much does a new shock cost if that is the problem?

Sorry for making it so long, but any help would be apprieciated...

Re: convertable leak(pump fluid)

really? i was going there to post it but then read that post about where to post it and i figured that it belonged in appearance because thats just what convertable is...

well if a mod wants to move it go ahead, but im not gona waste server space by posting twice... either way im sure sooner or later someone with the proper knowledge would be visiting this forum anyways... thanks
