Colored tint?

Does anyone have pictures of colored tint on their car? Although, I seriously doubt I will get some, I would like to see how it looks.

Thanks.

Re: Colored tint?

i have mirror window tint on my white T/A. although it came on there. it actually looked pretty good and blended well, but now that i painted the top and crap black its not cool looking, also its scrathed and ripped in a few spots so im going to limo black, but this is like 5% mirror, cant see into it at all. check out my cardomain page, i have some shots of it all white where it gives a good idea.

Re: Colored tint?

i have no idea. i didnt even know what they were till they were in there. the kid i bought it from bought it with them in there too, he said the system sucked cause it was all highs which sounded great but no bass. so i put in the sub/amp combo and then took the hatchwiring and hooked it to the MB Quarts cause they were only playing bass, like how the stock subs are supposed to be there. now it sounds pretty nice overall, especially with the Orion components in the front.

As posted before:

one layer red, one layer industrial mirror. Later added another layer of mirror, then tinted front windshield 50% with a 35 and 5% overlapping brow.
Flame on!

Re: Colored tint?

once everything was tinted you could see out, even at night. you just get used to it and it becomes no big deal.

I would just like to say to you Alien that if you decide you really want to do something like this, or even do anything to your car other than what EVERYONE else is doing, expect some people to dislike it. Dont get offended by the ones that cannot give you their "IMO" in a nice way. the yuck that is posted above is actually a nice version of saying they dont like it, although most will never tell you why. Some think it is too ricey, just like the "sleepy eye" headlight mod that I actually finished and have on my car right now. If you like it, go for it, if not, enjoy the fact that someone else took the time and money to try it, and you have something to look at for reference.

All too often loud-mouths and morons give their $.02 worth on something that they, first off, never even thought of, or are afraid of negative feedback on.

Can I ask you what color your car is? I no longer have that car in that picture, but I do have a white lt1 trans am. if you look at the picture on this post, and look at the little black triangles behind the side window, on my white car, I had some aluminum cut and bent to match those. Then I used a scotch brite pad to give them the "brushed" look, cleared them with some clear, then attached them with some 3M double sided tape. It cost me $40 for the whole works, and it is TOTALLY different than anyone elses. Although there is someone on here, or LS1.com that is making overlays with designs in them. Just another idea for ya, and I hope the picture is what you were looking for!

My Car

I actually saw a Focus with blue window tint the other day, which is the color I would most likely do. I thought it looked fairly good, still hard to picture as our cars are very different.

Re: Colored tint?

I did consider doing a blue tint on my current car, but it just did not fit. it might with yours, since you have some blue hints on it. I am not totally sure it would really fit. I just went with black, but really dark. I did have a nice 69 firebird for a while, I was gonna tint the back window and the little rear side windows with blue, and the front side windows with that black to blue fader tint (black at the front fading into the blue towards the rear), then put a layer or two of the 5% chrome behind all that. However, the blues did not match, and that fader tint, total crap as far as durability and fading. I know the picture I posted does not look very good, but once I had it all tinted out, the windows almost matched the color of the car, just shinier. It was different, and it was ALOT of fun watching people looking at the car, trying to see in by cupping their hands and looking in (at which point I would roll down the window!). Even had cops staring, one drove next to the car from 132nd street all the way down to 65th street!

Re: Colored tint?

i've seen on a new bright yellow mazda with lightly tinted yellow windows...i loved it....but on an f-body i believe black is the best look to go with....but if i was gonna go another color i would tint it blue but not too dark...i believe dark color tint is not only ugly but ilegal.....IMO dark black is the way to go.....but opiniions differ...
