NOOOOOOO, don't do it. The 93-96 dash rocked with those air vents.

yeah its been done, from what i understood it was a direct swap with the exception of a drilling an extra hole here or there, the doorpanels might get in the way of the 97+ a pillars im not sure about that, but ive seen the dash kits go from $400-1000 on ebay....all depends when you buy it an how soon the seller wants to unload it ya know?

PM or email 96-speed.

Ryan did it in his '96 and it turned out great. He has a whole write-up on his website, but I can't think on the link right now.

I did it. I put a trans am dash in. It is very eazy, you just need to extend a couple wires and rewire your insturment cluster. The dashes bolt in the same. I followed the write up on 96-speed's site. Heres his site http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/memberpage/345879/3 and you can check out mine if your bored, lol, http://www.cardomain.com/id/o2bsogood

O2Bsogood how hard was the Trans am dash swap? Do you have any info on it. I talked to someone that swapped a 93-97 TA dash into his car and he said that TA's are wired completely diff. than Camaros. If you have any info on this i would appreciate it. I want to either get a TA dash or 97+ but i know of a guy thats parting out a 93 TA and i could probably get the complete dash out of it for very very cheap.

To you guys that have actually done this swap i have a question. In that on line "guide" with the wiring diagram it says this
"You will also need to ground a wire from the ASR slot (A8) if you do not have traction control in order to keep it from staying lit"

Does that just mean i put a pin into the hole and run it straight to a ground? Thats what it sounds like but i don't want to burn anything up. I don't have Traction control. Thanks guys.

I was also wondering this, just for confirmation, I'm sure thats what it means, but I'm starting on the swap this weekend......

Just make sure that you get the a/c ducts with the new dash b/c the whole route of the new one is totally different from the old one. but its a piece of cake to do. You will freak out when you see nothing but wires and just the steering wheel on your firewall. But it is worth it I promise!!

Yea if everything works out, its gonna be awsome. So do you know about grounding out that wire? Will the light just show 24/7 if not grounded? or will it actually mess something up.....
