It seems that quite a few people have problems with condensation in the Diamond Clear Corners, not sure about the normal ones... also not sure about the warping/cracking of the housings. It might be isolated to a few. The clear corners look awesome. The clear corners light up exactly the same as the stock ones.

I have the same problem w/ burning out the bulbs, I've been through three sets in less than 8 months They were all hyperwhite. Whenever water gets in there the bulbs just crack And it is always on only one of the lights. My first set one light would leak and burn out, then I returned them and now the other light on the new set leaks water and burns the bulb Haven't had any problem w/ warping though

Why not just disable your DRLs? I think it looks much better without them.

I got my clear corners from www.pacificie.com and haven't had any noticeable problems w/ leaking or warping. However, one of my DRLs (stock) just went out the other day, so they may have started... But I've had the clears over a year w/ no problems and they look great.
Does anyone know of a good long-lasting hyperwhite DRL (3157) bulb???- I may try autozone and see what they have...

Man.... I made my own Clear Corners on my Bird and have had NO issues what so ever with leaks, or "melting"/ "warping". That's with normal 3157 amber bulbs in there.

The reason they melt is because of the chrome inside of the housing it gets really hot with regular bulbs in it.
i know this is true because afterthoughts auto is close to where i live i went over there and we had a little talk about em
and she (Dean the owner of afterthoughts) told me that that was why

That would probably be why they stopped shipping bulbs with them. It makes them liable for the damage. Grrr...

How did you make your clear corners?

There's articles out ther on how to make them. Basically you just remove the yellow lens, and replace it with a clear Acrylic (Overhead light clear panels). They've worked great so far. I've had them on there over a year now, and no moisture has gotten in them, and they've never "melted"

Cool

Had mine for 8 months with stock replacement Amber bulbs, and no warpage whatsoever.I did put a gasket around the holes the lights go into though,so they won't leak.

I honestly think something is wrong with your wiring. The bulbs may not be inserted exactly right (too close to the front housing).

I could understand the diamond clears melting, since they are thinner, but ALOT of people have been using the regular clears with DRL's with no problems... myself including.

I have both the regular and diamond clears. I will compare how they both have done with my high wattage SPW bulbs after I install the diamond clears.
