Clear Corner Install

Hello, i have a 1997 Camaro Z28. I just bought clear corners (ebay). And i am having a hard time installing these lights. I took every screw out of the bottom of the car. But another question is do you think i need to take out that bottoming out guard? Advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Re: Clear Corner Install

What bottom guard? The spoiler that shoots the air up into the radiator? That needs to come off, I believe its a 10mm or 8mm... Then both of thoose side pieces need to come off... Then you can get under it, unbolt your turn signals and replace them with your new ones. There's another thread on this where Brent posted a link that showed how to get thoose side pieces off.

Good Luck, it was a easy install for me.

There should be about 8 bolts holding it to the car from the front. Maybe it's different on a 97, don't know.

Re: Clear Corner Install

It's an air dam to direct air flowing under the nose up into the radiator. They just happen to work well as a bottom out notifier, too.

Make sure you put this back on or the engine may overheat.
